Andrii Gorelik

Dr. Andrii Gorelik is a Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellow with Prof. Ivan Ahel at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology (University of Oxford) and a Junior Research Fellow in Biosciences at Lincoln College. His research focuses on the post-translational regulation of a transcription factor aryl hydrocarbon receptor, and its roles in cancer and immunity. Dr. Gorelik completed his undergraduate studies in industrial biotechnology at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. He earned a Wellcome Trust-funded PhD working with Prof. Daan van Aalten at the University of Dundee, where he developed methods to study site-specific protein O-GlcNAcylation. He then conducted postdoctoral research with Prof. Ed Tate at the Francis Crick Institute and Imperial College London, investigating N-myristoylation and N-degron-mediated protein degradation in MYC-driven cancers.
