Pei Yee Tey Inaugural Australian Ubiquitin Summit 2025

Pei Yee Tey

Pei Yee earned her BSc in Biomedical Sciences and subsequently completed an MRes in Cell Biology at UCL. She was awarded a Wellcome Trust studentship to undertake her PhD with Professors Sylvie Urbé and Michael Clague at the University of Liverpool, where she studied how ubiquitylation governs the endo-lysosomal sorting and turnover of the highly unstable immune checkpoint receptor CTLA4. Her PhD work was recognised with the Raff Medal from the British Society for Cell Biology (BSCB). She is now a postdoctoral researcher in the Urbé/Clague labs, continuing to dissect the ubiquitin-dependent mechanisms that govern CTLA4 turnover.
