Xiaofeng Zheng, Ph.D. Professor Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology School of Life Sciences Peking University Beijing 100871, P.R. China Tel: (86)10-6275-5712 E-mail: xiaofengz@pku.edu.cn ________________________________________ Education & Research Experience • 2008–Present: Professor, School of Life Sciences, Peking University, China • 2002–2008: Associate Professor, School of Life Sciences, Peking University, China • 1998–2002: Postdoctoral Fellow, The Pennsylvania State University, USA • 1994–1998: Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan ________________________________________ Research Interests Dr. Zheng’s research focuses on deciphering the molecular mechanisms underlying DNA damage response, cellular metabolism, and innate immunity. His group specializes in studying post-translational modifications—such as ubiquitination, SUMOylation, phosphorylation, and acetylation—to understand their roles in maintaining genomic integrity and regulating cell proliferation. By investigating how these processes contribute to tumorigenesis and therapeutic resistance, Dr. Zheng aims to translate fundamental discoveries into novel strategies for cancer treatment. To date, Dr. Zheng has authored 96 peer-reviewed publications in prestigious international journals.
