Yasushi Saeki Inaugural Australian Ubiquitin Summit 2025

Yasushi Saeki

Dr. Yasushi Saeki is Professor of Protein Metabolism at the Institute of Medical Science, The University of Tokyo. He received his PhD from Hokkaido University and subsequently conducted research at The University of Tokyo before joining the laboratory of Dr. Keiji Tanaka at the Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Medical Science. He established his independent research program there and moved to The University of Tokyo in 2023. His research focuses on the ubiquitin-proteasome system, with particular emphasis on the mechanisms of proteasomal degradation, ubiquitin-mediated regulation of proteasome function, and advanced proteomics approaches for elucidating protein homeostasis. His work has provided important insights into proteasome biology and its roles in human disease.
