Mihaela Ficu
Dr Mihaela Ficu is a medicinal chemist specialising in oncology drug discovery, with expertise in small molecules, targeted protein degraders (PROTACs), and antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs). She earned her PhD at the Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute (CRUK MI) in the United Kingdom, where she discovered novel PROTACs for cancer-associated proteins by integrating chemistry, biology, and molecular modelling. She recently joined the Molecular & Proximity Discovery Laboratory, led by Dr Michael Roy, at the South Australian immunoGENomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI), University of Adelaide.
